CAN YOU FEEL THE BEAT
At Drumroll Stage and Sushi Pub we strive to create a space where people can delight in fresh, healthy food and refreshments by day and night — enhanced in the evening by a diverse lineup of live music performances.
Our hope
Our hope is to build connections among all members of the Greater Geneseo community, from the residents and the college students and stuff to musicians and music fans.
We are happy to help enhance Geneseo's arts scene by creating a space for local musicians to showcase their work, as well as bringing in big-name and up-and-coming acts for our community to enjoy.
Through our menu and bar offerings, we support local industry by stocking products from local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and wineries.
Our history
Our location at 86 Court Street has a legacy as a community hub in Geneseo and we are proud to keep that legacy alive.
The building has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s, when it housed a family but then a grocery store, a dance hall, and a saloon.
In the 1930s the venue was transformed into the M&B Grill—owned by the Battaglia family who lived in the other half of the building—which hosted weddings, reunions, and their much-anticipated New Year's Eve party.
By 1969, it was renamed to The Statesmen, which endured through the mid-2010s and was the site for many evenings of revelry (and mischief) for Geneseo locals and SUNY Geneseo students alike.
As the Statesmen, 86 Court Street continued to host live performances and touted a “Party Room with Dance Floor, up to 350 people.”
Today, the Salvaggio family is reinvigorating the legendary space, allowing the Drumroll to flourish as a place where people can come together to enjoy family, friends, food, drink, and music.
